SUSTAINABILITY & impact POLICY
Our Commitment
At Ewhurst Park, we are committed to operating in a way that protects, enhances, and works in harmony with the natural environment that surrounds us. As a rural estate, we recognise our responsibility to care for the land, support biodiversity, and create experiences that are both meaningful and low impact.
Sustainability is not a standalone initiative—it is embedded in how we manage the estate, host events, and welcome our guests.
Our Approach
Our approach to sustainability is guided by three principles:
-
Protect – Safeguarding the estate’s landscapes, wildlife, and natural ecosystems
-
Enhance – Actively improving biodiversity and land health through considered stewardship
-
Connect – Encouraging guests, partners, and our team to engage with and value the natural environment
Land & Biodiversity
We are committed to responsible land stewardship and ecological restoration.
We aim to:
-
Protect and enhance existing habitats across woodlands, parkland, and waterways
-
Create new areas of high value habitat for biodiversity such as wetlands, woodlands and species-rich grasslands
-
Preserve seasonal features, including sensitive environments such as bluebell woodlands, through managed access
-
Support wildlife and biodiversity through low-intervention land management
-
Minimise environmental impact when hosting events across the estate
Food & Sourcing
Our approach to food is rooted in seasonality and provenance. We aim to:
-
Use estate-reared and locally sourced produce wherever possible
-
Create food products with foraged ingredients from naturally occurring sources
-
Design menus that reflect seasonal availability

Reduce food miles by working with local and regional suppliers

Use recyclable or compostable materials wherever possible
-
Reduce reliance on printed materials through digital alternatives
